hellooo!

So I know I skipped Saturday blogging! Time just got away from me! I totally forgot about it! Saturday Chad and I went to Atlanta and had a nice lunch with his parents, Cindy, Kelli, and Casey! It is always fantastic to see family and people that you care about so much. Chad and I also attempted to play tennis Saturday. I ended up throwing a "hissy fit" because I wasn't playing well. SO that didn't go over too well. That night we went to a friends birthday party downtown. We ate at a place called Pauly's. It is a crepe place! It was so fantastic! I loved it! And it was so CHEAP! NOW SUNDAY....this morning we went to church and heard a nice sermon about "what are you wearing?" It was all about wearing clothes of kindness and showing kindness to everyone. It was a really good message. After church, Chad, Tyler, Will, Ginger, Gordon, and I shared a lovely lunch with Oma and Opa (Chad's grandparents) that live here in Athens! We had the best food ever! Chad and I just love going over there and being around them! They are so great! We have had a bit of a lazy afternoon filled with lots of homework, which is no fun! Now its back to Monday tomorrow to start the week off! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Braves Day!

Today, Chad and I heard about this really awesome opportunity! Some of the Braves players and managers were going to be at Sports Authority signing autographs!! The gang all loads up and we all ride over. Well we couldn't find a parking spot. This parking lot is huge! There were over 500 people in the store. They were not even giving out numbers for you to stand in line anymore! :( It was still awesome though! We got to see Brian McCain up close! I have a picture! I'll have to upload it tomorrow! Chad, Tyler, and I ate with Kelli and Casey tonight! We had quite an interesting night. A girl almost hit Casey's car. So we are all screaming at her through the windows. Well Casey then lets us out and Kelli and I are walking up to the door. We are staring at this girl with evil eyes, because she was not acting like a normal human being. She then proceeds to roll down the window and yell at me and Kelli "Don't worry, we aren't eating here!" Kelli was like is she talking to me!!!???? It was so crazy. We were furious basically for no reason. People are just so weird and rude. Ladies need to act like ladies. Not crazy people. Enough said! Goodnight!!

Life is too short....

Thankful THURSDAYYYY did not start out well for me. I was supposed to be at Colham Ferry Elementary School at 7:35. I woke up at 7:44. Now keep in mind I get a grade in this class by being on time and dressing appropriately. I was freaking out! I also got lost on the way to the school! But it all worked out! Then I thought it was going to continue to be a horrible day until I realized life is too short! SO my day turned around! Our day ended with everyone gathering around the tv watching american idol! But now off to do homework now! Hope everyone had a great day! I hope you thought about what you are thankful for today! I'm ready for flip flop weather!

hope everyone had a happy Windy Wednesday!!!!It sure was very cold and windy up in Athens today! Today was just an awesome and inspiring day! Chad got awesome news today! The music group that I told you all about last night that Chad auditioned for, WELLLLLLL he GOT IT! I am so proud of him! I knew he could do it! I encourage you all, if you have time of course, to come watch this group! They are really really talented! I am just thrilled for Chad. He has an excellent voice and should be using it! and now he gets too! woo woo! We all went to Wesley tonight. For those of you who do not know what Wesley is, it's a church organization through the Methodist Church here on campus that is HUGE! There are easily over 500 students that come to it on any given Wednesday! It's a great time of fellowship and just to release the weeks stresses out and praise God, which should be our ultimate goal in life. It is all about Him after all! We just got to here a fantastic message tonight that has inspired me in so many ways. We read Revelation 3 and 4. Those chapters are about being a lukewarm Christian. I think when you get in college or in our busy every day lives, sometimes we forget about Jesus, and what He did for us on the cross. I know being a lukewarm Christian is something everyone struggles with every now in then. But the message really fired me up about Jesus! It was just so awesome! I hope all of you had a great day! Get ready for tomorrow and be thinking about what you are thankful for! Thankful Thursday is only 38 minutes away! :)

rain rain go away!

It has been raining for so long day! That is so depressing! Today was such an odd day! UGA police sent all the students an email that said they fouled a 40 year old guy dead in the Arts building! Yikes! I have class there in the morning! I saw a wreck today. Will had a girl in his class have a seizure. And UGA got beat in basketball by Florida!! Fantastic things that happened today though were that Chad got into the last rounds of his auditions for some singing group he is trying out for! We are all so excited for him! Hopefully he will find out more tomorrow whether he got into the group! Today was my first day in the elementary schools doing research! It was so awesome!! I love love love it! I cannot wait to be a teacher! Its one the the most awesome things EVER!!! They are calling for snow tomorrow! Pray for some snow days! :) Hope everyone had a terrific tuesdayyy!

Jan. 25th!

This Monday was so insane! I should be in bed right now, but I have about a million things going through my mind. I suddenly remembered that I forgot to update the blog today! Nothing interesting happen today EXCEPT that I had to sit in Chapter for three hours tonight. BUT, I finally got a room in the sorority house for next year. That was pretty exciting! Other than that, Chad took his accounting test today and says he thinks he did well. We all know he did just fine! Pretty productive day! Hope all of you had productive days too! nighty night!

Dinner with the girls!

Today was my next years roommate's birthday! A bunch of girls and I all went downtown and ate dinner! It was so nice just to have a girls night out! It was so much fun! All of my girl friends up here are so amazing!! Chad and I did not have a busy day however. We did lots of studying and homework today! We also played tennis!! I am getting so much better! Of course, it was all because I have a wonderful PATIENT coach! :) He is so greattt, Mr. Chad Cone! Chad has an accounting test tomorrow at two! So if you read this before two, feel free to send him a uplifting supportive text!! We all know he will do just fine though! I hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Saturday in Athens!!

Happy Saturday everyone!! Hope everyone had an awesome day! Chad and I had a fantastic day full of washing clothes and playing tennis! We did 7 loads of clothes today! NOT FUN, but always easier when two people get the job done! :) We also played tennis today! I am terrible at tennis, but Chad is quite the tennis player! He helped me so much today! I think I improved a little! GO ME! haha Other than that, we have been watching White Collar all day long! Chad and I are addicted to this show! If you have not seen it you need to! it's awesome! We also went to Carrabbas tonight for dinner! It was the celebration for eating well all week and all the hard work that we put into working out this week! Again, we got a FREE dessert! Every time we go there we either get a free appetizer or dessert! It never fails! :) Now back to White Collar to end an awesome day!

Chillllyyyy!

This morning was a struggle to get out of bed, because I had so much work to do last night. So I stayed up really late and did it. I then had to get up at 8 to get ready for my class. I know that is not early to most of yall, but to a college student, that is WAY too early! Anyway, I get so off topic sometimes. Bare with me....I ended up turning my alarm off and sleeping past the time I should have gotten up. So I was in a rush to get ready this morning. What does Megan wear this morning? Jeans, a long sleeve shirt, flip flops, and NO JACKET! IT WAS 22 degrees outside!! I froze all day! My fault..I know...still. I did get a lot of work done today though, on a better note. I also had a Gym Dog meet tonight. We played Auburn and won! WOO WOO! I also got to play/watch kids before the meet today! That was tons of fun! I miss hanging around little kids! They just brighten my day! Other than that, nothing interesting happened today! Chad had to go to the meet by himself, because the boys and most of our friends are in Thomasville doing D-Now! So please pray for them and the high school/middle school kids that are participating! Hope everyone had a Fantastic Friday!

Eventful day!

Breakfast for dinner! That is one of the best dinners everr, except on Thursdayss!!! Chick-Fil-A nights for college students!! You buy a combo and get an entiree!!! Its the best deal ever! Everyone who knows Chad and I know that we love love love some Chick-Fil-A! I want to take the time out to say that I am SO PROUD of Chad! He has been eating healthy foods every single day and working out when he is supposed to! Even in the temptation of the the so many delicious things that are fried at Chick-Fil-A! Chad got a grilled chicken sandwich on a wheat bun! HE HAD NO FRIESS!!!!! I was dying! I cannot diet for long! haha So I had a grilled chicken sandwich, but I poured yummy Chick-Fil-A sauce all over mine ANDDDD ate all the french fries! :) But we should all be so proud of Chad! He is doing so well! We are about to go work out. We will see how that goes, because I am still so sore! I had my first PE class today! I am taking tennis for beginners! Tennis is the only thing that can beat me at! ;p So I am currently trying to be just as good as he is! That went well! I just asked Chad if anything interested to him today, and of course, he said NO. He thinks the blog is dumb. He wants nothing to do with it. He will appreciate it one day, hopefully! :) Ok! Last thing and then I will stop rambling on! I want to start this new thing on Thursdays! Its going to be more of a challenge for everyone reading along! Thursdays are going to be called Thankful Thursdays! I have been inspired by a friend (Ashley Scoonover) who posts on her Facebook status every Thursday about what she is thankful for that day! I want to challenge everyone today to think about what you are truly thankful for! :) I hope everyone has a very thankful Thursday!

Wednesday= Wesley

Well it is official! Chad and I are both feeling the results of our two day work out so far. Today is our break day. We are on a 4-day work out plan. We will work out Monday, Tuesday, rest on Wednesday, work out Thursday, and Friday. I am so sore today. I thought I was sore yesterday. It doesn't even compare to how sore I was yesterday. But on a positive note, soreness is a great thing. That means we are getting results, and that is our main goal of working out. However, tomorrow will be a challenge as far as eating dinner goes. Here in Athens, the Chick-Fil-A that Chad lives near does a buy one get one free deal on Thursdays. We go every thursday. Chad and I both can basically eat for about $5.85. That is with a combo and then an extra whatever with a water. It's a great deal, but usually we eat chicken nuggets or chicken sandwiches. So we will see tomorrow what happens with dinner and what we choose! We have been doing so well this week with keeping up with working out and eating healthy. Today is Wednesday! Wednesday is the day of the week that we have Wesley. Wesley is an organization through the Methodist Church. It starts at 8 with about 1,500-2,000 students attending each week. We sing and hear a message from the pastor. It is really a great way to just release the stress of the beginning of the week all to God. Everyone here at UGA loves it. We will be heading there in a little while! Hope everyone had a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!

OUCH OUCH!!

Day two of the insane work out Chad has us on! UGH! I could barely lift my arms this morning or move my legs! Today was a short back exercise, but also, my favorite AB day! I probably won't be able to even sit up tomorrow! :) Its all worth it though! Today was very rainy and cold here in Athens. We are all tired of the cold weather! But all the snow is finally off the ground! Last week, we had THREE whole snow days! it was so awesome!! Now its back to classes and regular life here at UGA! Other interesting things that happened today....hmmmmm.....i dropped out of my Spanish class. I officially decided I never want to take a Spanish class again. Instead, I signed up for beginner tennis (PE) and Physical Education in Early Childhood Education! This semester is going to be AWESOMMEE!!! :) Chad is in all his boring accounting classes. He loves them though, so I guess that is all that matters! He is enjoying his classes so far too. Hope all of you had a wonderful Tuesdayy!

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday!

Why hello there followers! I hope all you had a fantastic Martin Luther King Jr. holiday! UGA had no class today! So Chad and I did not attend class today! Instead we woke up at Kelli and Casey's house! Where we had a fantastic breakfast of these: Great donuts!!

Chad and I eventually traveled back to Athens today! There was a gym dog meet against West Virginia. Luckily, today I did not have to work the meet! I got to sit in the student section with Chad and Tyler! It is totally different seeing it from the student section! Here are a few photos from the meet!

Our Lady Dogs won today! That was very exciting! They won by a pretty big score! It was fantastic! Today is not only Martin Luther King Day, but it is also the day that Chad and I are going to start our workout/diet plan! We ate a pretty healthy dinner tonight. Well as healthy as you can get at Loco's. haha We are going to the gym tonight! This will be good motivation to tell you all about our progress. That way we will almost be held responsible in a way by you all. Great way to stay motivated! :)

Fun Day SUNDAY!!

Today was not a typical Sunday for Chad and me! We spent the night in Atlanta with Kelli and Casey (Chad's cousins). We got up and went to church with them at a nice contemporary service at Cannon Methodist Church. Cindy (Chad's aunt and Kelli's mother) cooked us all a nice brunch! We had waffles (made by Chad Cone himself), eggs, bacon, and sausage! It was super duper yummy! We then had to come back to the Redford family home to all take naps. The boys stayed up too late last night watching the Falcons get their bottoms handed to them! Kelli and I stayed up later than the boys! We had better things to do then watch football though! We watched the Miss America Pageant and ate GIGI's cupcakes! They are literally the best cupcakes I have ever had in my life! Then we talked to Sammy Clawson on skype. He is awesome! So anyway, we all took naps. Then we enjoyed a nice dinner at Frontara! Its a great Mexican restaurant. Here are some pictures from our adventures!

Saturdayy Saturday!

WOW! What a day! Chad, Tyler, and I just got back from the Gym Dog meet! It was awesome!! Probably the most fun thing I have done here at UGA. Football games are fun, but this was a really great experience, especially because i love gymnastics. Score Flashing went well! I didn't mess up! Yaya! It was super intense being on the floor with all the gymnasts, coaches, and judges. I got to sit at the head judges table for the Bars part of the competition. Chad and Tyler sat in the student section cheering loudly for our ladies! Now Chad and I are about to head over to Atlanta to spend the night with Kelli and Casey (Chad's cousin and husband)! Cannot wait to see them. Can i just say i am so tired of football! no more pleaseeeee! :) Go Falcons!

WEEKEND! YAYA!

Today is going to be AWESOME! It is the first Gym Dogs meet of the year!!! WOO WOO! Go Dawgss! :) For those of you who do not know, the Gym Dogs are the amazing gymnastics team here at UGA. They are known as celebrities here on campus. They are probably the second most watched sport here at UGA right after football if you can believe that! I applied for a position to work with the Gym Dogs. and I GOT IT! So basically what i will be doing is flashing up the scores of each of the gymnasts get after the judges have tallied them all up. I am super excited as if you could not tell! Chad will be attending the gym meet today to cheer me on and our amazing Gym Dogs! Hopefully, pictures will soon follow!

To end this awesome day, Chad, Tyler, and I get to eat some yummy Transmet Pizza! The awesome thing about it was that Kelli and Casey Radford came all the way over to Athens to eat with us! We all had a great time sitting around the table eating and laughing about random things that we think are hilarious. It is always great to have friends and family that are so close!

NEW IDEA TODAY! :)

One of my most favorite people ever showed me her awesome blog once upon a time ago. I began to think what an awesome idea a blog actually is, especially for a college student. One: I don't have to inform/ remember important things that I do on a daily basis that people want to know. Two: It will get me off Facebook and actually put my typing skills to the test. Three: Refer to number one. So i am super excited and hope to try and post daily! :)
