New York!

Hey Yall! Its been awhile since I have blogged. I have been putting more into my work then blogging this semester I guess! ;) Anyway, most of you know that Chad and I went to New York for our fall break weekend. A lot of people wanted to know how it was and so forth so here is the run down of the trip for you. We left on Thursday after we got out of class. We flew stand by on a college program called AirtranU. We got on the very first flight that went out as soon as we got there and we got FIRST CLASS. I never want to have to sit in the regular class again! We left the airport about 8:00. The flight was originally delayed because of weather. That worked out in our favor I guess. We got to New York about 11:30ish. We took a taxi to our friend Mason's apartment who lives in the city. We went immediately to his apartment and watched the end of the World Series, which lasted until about 12:30 might I add. So Chad and I went to bed about 1ish and then we got up at 3 that same morning. Yeah, it was crazy and we were tired. But we left Mason's apartment about 3;]:30 and headed to Regis and Kelly. We were the first people in the stand by line. We waited from about 4 a.m to 8:30 when they finally allowed us to go into the studio. We got to watch Regis walk across the street to the studio, and then watch the show. Highlight of my trip I might add. After the show was over we walked through central park, Time Square, and down Broadway. We then ate at this Hamburger shake place that was pretty good. Then we met up with Chad's sister for a few hours. That consisted of sitting in Starbucks out of the freezing cold weather. After we left Megan, Chad and I went to the 9-11 memorial. We did not actually get to see it because we did not have tickets, but it was cool just to be in the area and see it through the fence they had up. Since we were in that part of town, we went to Mason's work to get his apartment keys. Now it is about 8 p.m. Chad and I are about to fall over on the street and go to sleep. We got the keys and got a mini tour of Goldman Sacs. We went back to Mason's apartment and rested until he got home. Then we went to eat at this little hole in the wall Italian place. It was pretty good. Then we went home and slept! woo! Day 2: We slept in late and woke up to snow, rain, and wind. We decided to brave the weather and go out to a pretty famous bakery called Amy's Bread. It was SO GOOD! We walked about the city for as long as we could stand it and then eventually ended up at a Georgia bar to watch the UGA game. It was a cool experience because everyone in the bar was an UGA alum, so the place was packed and all cheering for the same team we were. After the game was over, Chad and I went back to Mason's apartment to change out of our wet clothes. Me more then him because I forgot my rain jacket. We then ate dinner at this restaurant called Becco. It was amazing! We ordered this special that they had. You got a salad and then 3 of their pastas of the day which was penne shrimp in a vodka sauce, pumpkin ravioli, and a pesto green bean pasta. They were so AMAZING! Best meal we ate! Then we got the dessert sampler with all kinds of cheesecakes and cakes. It was so great! Then we went home and slept after that! Day 3: We got up and went down to Kliendfields (the Say Yes to the Dress Wedding show). Second best thing that happened to me on the trip. Chad was not really thrilled about this part but i love it! Then we went and ate brunch/lunch at a place called the Dish. It was really good too. We had like a breakfast platter thing. Then we went back to the airport where the drama began. We couldn't get a flight back to Atlanta flying standby because so many flights had gotten cancelled the day before. After throwing a complete crying fit, we settled on buying plane tickets home. Its still a touchy subject for me to talk about because Chad is stubborn. What else is new? Anyway, that was the extent of our trip. It was amazing! I want to go back to badly already! I cannot even believe it has been a month since I last blogged. This is terrible yall. Hahaha....This semester has been unbelievably busy. I told myself coming into this semester that I was not going to stress over school. I was just going to enjoy every minute of it and do whatever I wanted anytime I wanted to so that I didn't miss out on anything in my college years. So far, I have held true to those standards. That is why I have not been blogging because I have been so busy! Ok, so let me recap literally a month for you. We had big/little reveal in my sorrity. I got the best little ever and I'm so happy to have her in my "family," since there were only two of us. Here are some pictures from that.....

It was a lot of fun. We made them go on a scavenger hunt. At every clue there was a clue and a piece of their costume. Nicolle and I were Oreos and milk. It was a fun time.


Then we had Scarlett Ball. Its basically like a homecoming in high school. All of the new girls get to walk down the steps of the house with their date and get their named called out in front of everyone. This happened the day they got initiated into the sorority. Ok...next was the craziest weekend of my life, which was two weekends ago. Chad and I crammed in babysitting,UGA football game, sky diving, taylor swift, and studying for mid terms all in one weekend. We were exhausted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should ask Chad about his sky diving experience. They actually crashed when they hit the ground. I didn't post pictures of that, but you should ask him about it. This is him walking towards where I was all scraped up. He walked with hobble all night.

We were 15 rows back in a packed out crowd. The concert was amazing! Chad and I were super surprised. She put on a great show and sounded pretty good as well!

Now we are on to this past week. I found out monday morning of last week that I GOT INTO MY PROGRAM!!!!! I am officially an Early Childhood Education major and will graduate in 4 semesters. I was so excited and so proud. I have worked so hard for great grades. I basically worked all summer on getting all that mess together! I was super excited about it though. Chad and I have had midterms for the past two week. I had 3 last week and 3 this week. Chad had a couple last week and 3 this week. We have been super busy with school stuff and trying to keep up. We went home this past weekend because one of my friends got married! It was such a beautiful wedding. I enjoyed seeing some of my friends that I have not seen in a while. This week is my birthday week. My friends are so awesome. They decorated my room! Here are some pictures.

My wonderful roommate Janette is doing a clue a day attached to a gift. I have to find the clues that are super tough :) and then wait the next day for the next one! She is so great! As are all of my friends!!!!

I know..its been a while.....

Hello friends and family! I know I have not posted in ages. It has literally been the craziest 4 weeks ever. I cannot really remember all that has gone on! Chad and I went home for labor day weekend. We had a nice relaxing time at home. We both have been working really hard this semester on keeping our grades up, which is super hard to do if you want a social life. We had a full weekend this past weekend. Chad's a capella group had auditions and had a great turn out. They got 3 new boys and 3 or 4 new girls. Everyone was really excited about that. Chad and I went out with WSEM (the a capella group) on Thursday night. We went and did Karokee with the group. We had a blast. Pictures are on the bottom. I had to work all day on Friday from 8:00 too 5:00. Chad and I went and visited with his aunt for a little while. Then we had a Rave birthday party to go to on Friday night. Saturday was the big football game. We went to the game. It was crazy! I was so upset that we lost! but it was so close! We win some and lose some. That is just how it goes. I got really sick on Friday night battling a cold. SO i didn't do anything on Sunday except lay around all day. I am still sick today and currently my voice is gone. That has been taking a toll on me a little. Chad is great. He is being awesome like always! Enjoy the pictures. They are fantastic!

hello to you all!

The reason I did not post yesterday was because Tuesdays and Thursdays are so crazy busy for me! I literally go from 8:30 until about 10:30 and I crash hard at 10:30. Hopefully I can do better in the up coming weeks. I am not going to make any promises. Yesterday was filled with class and work. Nothing too exciting happened. However, today I found out that I got A JOB!!! :) I was very very happy and pleased. I got a job here on campus working as a substitute for the daycare here on campus. I was super excited about that! Today I went to class and did homework. I have had a lot of homework already. It's only two weeks into the semester. I feel like it's rushing by already. I just got back from Wesley. It was fantastic. I love Wesley so much. It is so great that it is on Wednesdays too. Right in the middle of the week when you need that extra push to get through the rest of the week. Who better to give you that extra strength and push than God? I also decided tonight that I want to join a small group through Wesley called Cure. Basically what they do is they work with hospitals and raise money for children that need surgeries that cannot afford them. The group organizes dances and fundraisers to raise money for the children. It also involves going in to the hospitals and praying with the families if they would allow it and just praying over the doctors and the child. It really touched me to hear about it. I believe that it is a new thing on campus. So I am really excited about getting involved with that! Other than that...I don't really have anything else to say. Tomorrow is Thankful Thursday though! GET EXCITED! NIGHT! :)

Hello everyone! I have to keep up with this Blog better! I'm not starting off so well! haha So lets start with Friday....I actually applied to two jobs on Friday. I applied to a day care near Athens and the day care on campus. I should be hearing back from those places soon. I am excited. I enjoy working and miss being around kids. A job at a day care would cure both of those problems! :) Friday, Chad and I went out on a mini date night. We cooked an awesome dinner of sweet potatoes, salad, and bread. Then we went and saw Crazy Stupid Love. It was so great! I definitely recommend going to see that if you want to go to the movies! Then Saturday we washed lots and lots of clothes. We also went to dinner at Chad's aunt's house. We celebrated Oma and Opa's 56th wedding anniversary! It was so nice to get together and have a great meal with them. Congrats to Oma and Opa on that awesome 56 years of being married! After we got home from the little anniversary party, Chad and I went to one of his friends birthday party who is in Chad's a capella group. We had a blast just hanging out and getting to know that group a little better. Sunday was pretty much a lazy day. We didn't do much at all. Today was SO HOT! When I dropped Chad off after class about 20 minutes ago it said it was 100 in my car! I was sweating to death! Overall, classes are going well for me and Chad. He is really enjoying his classes. I am enjoying mine as well. I just do not like to go to class. haha Tonight is formal Chapter, so we have to get dressed up! blah! Anyway, I hope everyone had a great morning! Almost Friday!!!

Hello everyone...its Thursday!!! Almost the weekend and its thankful thursday! WOO! Tuesdays and Thursdays are my longest days of class, so its tough for me to get through the day without being negative or not wanting to go to class. Plus Thursday is almost Friday, so need to try and keep up with thankful thursdays so that I stay positive! Classes are going really well. I think my toughest class so far is going to be Spanish. I am so bad at it and my teacher is sort of scatter brained. I wonder sometimes if she knows what she is teaching us and in what order. Chad is loving his classes and his class schedule. He has been doing his homework and reading all week. I am so proud of him. He is so great. I should talk about/ give more praise to him on here. Anyway, today we went to class. I had to get the last of my books today. I did that. Thursdays is also Chick Fil A night for us. We went to dinner there with the boys, Ginger, and me. It was a good time. The boys are currently in this Xbox mode. They have been playing Batman all day (mostly Tyler because I feel like he never goes to class). It has been quite entertaining to say the least. haha Anyway, over all it has been a good day. I hope everyone else had a good day as well!

Thankful Thursday List: My awesome friends that live down the hall from me, good walks on campus, the sunshine, a good pair of tennis shoes, family to love, a boyfriend that I can laugh and make fun of, all of the new sweet sweet baby AXOs, and good bonding moments. What is on your list??

hello there!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! Chad and I most certainly have been busy lately. We started classes on Monday. All of our classes are going well. We both have pretty awesome schedules. We don't start until about 11 or 12:30 everyday. Its super nice! :) I also had bid day on Monday. Bid Day is the day that the new girls that rushed get their bids from their sororities. My sorority had a HUGE turn out. There are 52 girls in my pledge class. The new class that just came in has 71. So we had a great rush week as you can tell. hahaha It has been a lot fun. We had a DJ out on the front of our lawn. We all danced basically all night. It was a blast. Everyone had a great time. Our new girls have thoroughly enjoyed themselves this far. Tuesday we didn't do much except go to class. Chad and I watched a pretty good movie last night. I think it was called Lincoln Lawyer. It was really good if you are into mystery type movies. Tonight we are going to Wesley. I am excited. I love Wesley. Its a huge worship service for those of you who aren't as familiar with UGA. It is the biggest church organization here at UGA I believe. We are going to praise Jesus tonight in the best way possible! So i hope everyone has an awesome Wednesday! Tomorrow is thankful Thursday! I'm so excited to be getting back to those! :)
